Who are we?
We are like minded trainers who wish for our clients to receive a rewarding experience out of training their dog. Our philosophy is to provide a safe and stimulating environment to train your dog whilst providing encouragement to our participants. We believe the foundation of establishing an effective relationship with your dog is through good leadership and we aim to provide you with the tools to do this through a non aggressive approach. Leadership should always be firm but fair with a mutual respect, you will not have a loyal companion through fear and respect must be given to be received. We aim to provide smaller classes with a similar skill level so participants receive the optimum amount of our attention.
Asher Lindberg, Trainer
Having grown up on a farm I've always been surrounded by animals. I got my very first 'pet' dog when I was 17 and this started my passion for dog training. I had always had 1 or 2 farm dogs around while I was growing up but we were never allowed to play with or train them so Sonny opened my eyes to a whole other world out there. He was a registered therapy assistance dog and trialled in both obedience and agility. I really enjoyed trying all these new experiences with him and he taught me so much. My next dog Chinook extended my training further. She was a challenge at times but she brought me more knowledge and experience. I spent the first part of my training career with another local group for 14 years and then I decided to branch out on my own and established Geo Bay Dog Training in 2015. I wanted to work with smaller groups and run more intensive sessions. I wanted to really help establish good puppy foundations so that dogs could be further educated and expanded so owners could keep raising the bar on their skills. I have a passion for agility but also in teaching people to be good leaders to their dogs and establishing a good relationship with them. I look forward to sharing my experience with you and showing you your dog's true potential when you have achieved a good 'working relationship'.

What We Offer
Our classes cater from Puppy Groups right to Advanced Classes. We aim to offer a selection of classes that allow smaller groups of similar training level to work together so you get the most out of your class. These classes are offered on a casual basis and there is a starting point for all new clients or those wanting a casual social group with an option to progress and further your training experience. We also offer casual agility sessions which helps work on your base skills or work on areas that your dog needs to refine.
We also offer a monthly agility session on the weekend which is a more intensive class and longer session. These classes do require bookings and are capped to 10 participants. We usually announce by Facebook or the website but if you want more information, please contact us.
Home Consults. Yes, we make house calls. If you have a problem in the home or your dog is not quite ready for group sessions we can come to your home and work with you and your family. We work with various different issues so don't be afraid to ask for help because no problem is too little or too large for us to help out. Contact us to make a booking.
One on One tuition. We also offer on a pre booked basis, one on one tuition for people needing assistance or to help their confidence to get them into a group class. These are usually a 45min-1hour session held at our location or at a local location, to help give you some more intensive instruction. Usually the aim of 1to1 tuition is to progress to the class and help give you the confidence to do so.
Both home sessions and 1to1 can be tailored to assist in specific struggles or issues you may be having with your dog. Feel free to get in touch if you want more information or to make a booking.
We also teach the puppy pre-schools at Heritage Vet, GeoVet and Busselton Vet. These are for puppies under 20 weeks and are a good starting point for your puppy. We go through your foundations, socialisation, introduction to obedience and common puppy behaviours and troubleshooting. You can book these 4 week blocks by contacting the vet directly.
